Management

Don Pyle, CEO

Don Pyle has more than 25 years experience with emerging and successful network technology companies. Don was CEO of Laurel Networks, where he raised late stage venture funding, built a sales organization tripling revenue within a year, and then positioned the company for acquisition by ECI Telecom. As Juniper Network's first sales person he helped grow the business from pre-revenue to over $887 million in four years, one of the fastest revenue growths in total dollars in that market, and was promoted to vice president of North American Sales. He managed several hundred sales professionals and systems engineers and was responsible for an operation with $360 million in revenue. Don also held successful sales management roles spanning a variety of companies at different stages of growth, including StrataCom and Cisco Systems. Don holds a BSBA, Business Administration, from the University of Delaware.

Terry Slattery, CTO & Founder

Terry Slattery is the founder of Netcordia, inventor of NetMRI, and has been a successful technology innovator in networking during the past 20 years. He has a long history of network consulting and design work, including some of the first Cisco consulting and training on the east coast. As a consultant to Cisco, he led the development of the current Cisco IOS command line interface. Prior to Netcordia, Terry founded Chesapeake Computer Consultants, which became a Cisco premier training and consulting partner. At Chesapeake, he co-invented and patented the v-LAB system to provide hands-on access to real hardware for the hands-on component of internetwork training classes. Terry co-authored the successful McGraw-Hill text "Advanced IP Routing in Cisco Networks," is the second CCIE (1026) awarded, and is a sought after industry speaker and advisor.

As CTO at Netcordia, he is working with other industry experts to design network analysis rules and to identify ways to help network engineers improve their networks.

Jon Bierman, Executive VP of Worldwide Sales and Marketing

Jon Bierman has more than 20 years experience in the networking and telecommunications industry. As VP of Worldwide Sales, he is responsible for all channel and customer-facing activities. Before joining Netcordia, Jon served for two years as vice president of worldwide sales and customer support at Laurel Networks, acquired by ECI Telecom in June of 2005. Jon also held senior sales, channel, and business development management positions at Juniper Networks, Cisco Systems, and Tandem Computers (now a division of Compaq). Jon has a BA in Economics from Duke University and an MBA from Johnson Graduate School of Management, Cornell University.

Patrick McCoy, CFO

Patrick McCoy joined Netcordia in October 2006 and manages Netcordia’s finance and human resources functions. In November 2006, Pat opened the company's first international subsidiary in the UK, providing the start for Netcordia’s expansion into Europe. After nine years with Ernst & Young in Ohio, Pat served as CFO for several technology companies, deftly handling many mergers, acquisitions and divestitures during that time. Most recently, Pat served for the last ten years as CFO for IOtech, and was instrumental in the successful sale of IOtech to National Instruments. Pat holds a BSBA degree in accounting from John Carroll University and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Jay Ennis, Executive Vice President of Product Development

Jay Ennis has more than 20 years industry experience in the technology field. Prior to joining Netcordia, Jay was Chief Architect of the award winning company, Network Chemistry, where he served as Chief Architect of this wireless security company. Jay led development of its appliance-based wireless security products, and worked with senior management to define, execute, and communicate business and product strategies. Prior to Network Chemistry, Jay co-founded Visual Networks where he acted in a variety of roles, including VP of Strategy and Business Development, and VP of Engineering. He played a key role in building the firm from a small startup to a large publicly traded company, now part of Fluke Networks. Jay holds a M.S. in Computer Science from John Hopkins University, a B.S. in Computer Engineering from North Carolina State University as well as a number of Patents.

Lou Nardo, Vice President, Product Management

Lou Nardo has more than 10 years software industry experience. Prior to joining Netcordia, Lou established and led product management programs for several venture funded IT management companies including Qovia (IP telephony management software) and Panacya (application server and systems management software). He also directed product management for Managed Objects (systems management and BSM software). His product management career began at General Electric, where he received extensive training and enterprise experience. Prior to entering the software field, Lou was an officer in the Navy, where he managed nuclear power and submarine operations. Lou holds a M.S.E from Catholic University and a B.S. from the United States Naval Academy.

Yama Habibzai, Senior Director, Marketing

Yama Habibzai is responsible for driving Netcordia's overall marketing strategy, product positioning, product marketing, analyst relations and media communications activities. He has over 15 years of IT industry experience, specializing in networks, systems and applications management. Prior to joining Netcordia, Yama was a strategic manager at Concord Communications, later acquired by CA, Inc., where he analyzed markets and competing products, and helped define Concord's product roadmap. Later at Concord, Yama ran the marketing operations for the netViz business unit and then helped market CA's Network & Systems Management products. Yama has also held positions at Analog Devices, Inc, and The Mathworks. Yama has a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical & Computer Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, and a Master's in Business Administration from Babson College.

Patrick Vogelsang, Vice President, Operations

Pat Vogelsang has more than 15 years experience in the networking and telecommunications industry. As VP of Operations, he is responsible for all of Netcordia's back office support including Inside Sales, Customer Service, Manufacturing and IT. Prior to joining Netcordia, Pat worked as VP of Customer Service at Laurel Networks, acquired by ECI Telecom in June of 2005. Pat also held senior customer service management positions at FORE Systems and Marconi. Pat has a BA degree from the University of Rochester.
