The official name is The IT Audit Checklist Series (http://thinkingproblemmanagement.blogspot.com/2008/02/it-audit-checklist-series.html) and it is a list of checklists useful to IT professionals. The lists are created by the IT Compliance Institute. There are some useful checklists for various IT functions that would be useful in networking:
- Privacy and Data Protection
- Logging, Monitoring and Reporting
- Change Management
- Payment Card Industry (PCI)
- Risk Management
Of course, there are more checklists that cover distinctly IT topics too. Check them out, they may help you when your organization sends an auditor your way. Who knows, the auditors may look on you as a hero since you have a checklist (that they may not have). That's a smooth way to have them go away happy and let you get on with running your network.
