Advanced IP Routing in Cisco Networks (Second Edition)
By Terry Slattery and Bill Burton
Published September 2000

Thank you for inquiring about Advanced IP Routing in Cisco Networks, Second Edition. (View information about the first edition, published in September, 1998.)
The first obvious question about any second edition of a book is "What changed?". We've added quite a bit of content, increasing the number of pages from 504 to 640 - an increase of over 20%. There are two new chapters: IS-IS Routing and Dial-on-Demand Routing. Many of the other chapters have had new content added. The changes are too numerous to list. We hope that you find this new edition useful in running your current network or in obtaining your professional certifications.
Here, you'll find information about bugs that readers have discovered and the reference material mentioned in the book, primarily RFCs and a bibliography.
The draft versions of two chapters from the first edition are available via the First Edition. Look for the links to the draft chapters in the book outline on that page.
If you wish to report a bug you've found in the book, please send an email to us at .
