Terry Slattery, CCCI President and lead consultant, is a veteran of over 15 years of internetwork consulting, design and instruction. A graduate of Vanderbilt University in Electrical Engineering, Terry gained his skills in engineering and designing electronics systems and networks with such prestigious firms as Westinghouse and the U.S. Naval Academy. His introduction to Cisco routers in 1987 grew into a full-time relationship in consulting and instruction, becoming the lead engineer in the development of the Cisco New User Interface.
Terry holds the honor of being the first Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) outside of Cisco itself (he was only the second CCIE worldwide). This is the motivation behind basing his company's training on consultant-led instruction.,His extensive consulting background has given him a unique view into internetwork instruction, hand-selecting a training staff of engineers and consultants who are experts in both classroom and personal communication.
This continuing dedication to his own standard of excellence and the Cisco engineering philosophy has resulted in CCCI being one of the premiere Cisco Training Partners. Over 1500 network professionals (including many new CCIEs) have benefitted from his complete approach to quality internetworking education.
When not involved in carpentry or cycling, Terry's remaining free time is devoted to sailing.
