Cisco 2500 Memory Problems?

Have you ever configured a Cisco 2500, shipped it to another location, only to have the installer report that it didn't work? The symptom is repeated rebooting, or the router not being able to reliably find and read its configuration file from Flash memory. The problem is likely to be that the memory SIMMs vibrated enough in shipping to cause a connection problem. Just open the router, remove the SIMMs and reinstall them. Often, you'll find that the machine will now work.
